It is one of the most reputed beauty pageants and is responsible for selecting the Indian delegate for Miss international. Miss International is among the four most popular beauty pageants around the globe. The Glamanand group, led by Nikhil Anand, holds this event annually. It started in the year 2015 and has had seven editions as of now.
The Glamanand Supermodel India 2022 is the 8th edition of the beauty pageant. The Glam group organized the auditions in 18 major cities around the country, where about 2000 women participated. Out of these, two hundred were selected to move forward to the semi-finals. If someone missed the chance to apply, they could also have taken part in the wild card entry that gave them a chance to be among the semi-finalists.
The final auditions were held in the cities of Mumbai on 12th June and Delhi on 15th June. These had a star-studded judge panel including Nikhil Anand, national Director and Chairman of Glamanand Group), Zoya Afroz, Asmita Chakraborty, Trisha Shetty, Devika Vaid, Nishi Bhardwaj, and Anita Hada.
Out of the 200 semi-finalists, the judges picked 36 models who moved to the final of the Glamanand Supermodel India 2022. The names of them are Aanchal Sharma, Aavya Gupta, Advika Bansal, Aishwarya S, Alankrita Shahi, Ambika Shukla, Amishi Kaushik, Barbie Mishra, Dipankana Das, Eesha Agrawal, Falguni Zende, Jigyasa Sharma, Anamika Jha, Anshul Harnot, Aradhana Verma, Arshina Sumbul, Astha Vaish, Juhi Vyas, Kashish Methwani, Macqueen Serrao, Pawani Kohli, Praachi Nagpal, Pratibha Choudhary, Rani Chhari, Riya Mekkattukulam, Roosh Sindhu, Rovinuo lama, Saumya Bhandari, Shivangi Sinha, Shruti Raul, Simar Khaneja, Sneh Ticku, Soni Kumari, Soundarya Gowda, Srishti Sharma, Vidushi Yadav.
These finalists are to be trained for the coming two months to make them fit for the national finals. The training will include various parameters like Communication Skills, Etiquette, Styling, Ramp walk, and others to turn them from average contestants to potential supermodels. The national pageant of this event is scheduled from 24th August 2022 to 4th September in three cities, Jaipur, Indore, and Gurugram. The Grand finale of the event is on 4th September 2022.
Tanvi Malhara who hosted the event last year, is expected to be back to host the finale once again this year. Sham Khan will work in the role of Show Director for the pageant. The experts responsible for helping the participants in their journey to prepare for the finale of the national event are Nikhil Anand, Rita Gangwani, Lu Sierra, Dr. Amit Karkhanis, Dr. Varun Katyal, Nida Khateeb, RL Lacanienta, Ritika Ramtri, and many others.
The national director of Glamanand Group, Nikhil Anand, said he is looking forward to the fierce competition this time. Nikhil finds the participants unique in their ways and appreciates their hard work to reach this stage. He believes that the hard work of months and years is solely responsible for bringing them to the national pageant. He also mentioned that this year, they plan to in new challenges to test the preparations of the finalists and choose the best representative to represent India at the international pageants.

The show had seven successful runs before 2022 that witnessed thousands of models participating. One out of all the models is titled the winner every year for Miss International India.
